    Junji Ito Horror House

An immersive horror exhibition built around the work of manga artist Junji Ito, presented as a walk-through pop-culture experience.

    Junji Ito Horror House

    The brief

Horror IP depends on atmosphere rather than recognisable mascots, so the experience has to be constructed through set design, lighting and pacing. Manga-based properties also carry strong fan expectations about fidelity to the source artwork.

    What we did

    • Built the exhibition as a walk-through environment rather than a display of panels.
    • Used controlled lighting and scene transitions to pace the visitor experience.
    • Kept the visual language close to the original manga artwork.
